Andrea Goodfellow
President
Esthetic, Nail Technology & Make up Instructor

Andrea has been in the Esthetic industry for over 14 years. After running her own salon for 7 years, she ventured into the teaching of Esthetics. Throughout her teaching career, her students consistently receive outstanding accomplishments on provincial certification exams. In 2009-2010, Essence received highest practical marks in the province for Esthetics and Nail Technology, highest theory mark for Make-Up, and had the highest student for Esthetics (practical).

Continuous upgrading is a must for instructors to ensure the latest trends are being passed on to students. Andrea traveled to Toronto to attend the Spa International Trade Show and also attended the Dekker School of Advanced Esthetics for Shellac training. Andrea is also a member of the Miramichi Chamber of Commerce and the Women of Miramichi Entrepreneurial Network.

Andrea’s love and passion of the industry ensures every student at Essence gets exactly what they came for!

Kim Dickson
Hairstyling Instructor

Kim, a Wella Master Colorist, brings 15 years of experience of the hairstyling industry to Essence Institute. Along with her 11 years working at local salons, Kim has worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines aboard the “Majesty of the Sea”. In addition, Kim trained for six weeks at Steiner Training Academy in London, England, under world renowned hairstylist Ian Carmichael-personal stylist to the Queen of England. Kim’s enthusiastic persona and passion for her industry awards her students with a wealth of knowledge.
